With Organoids, you quite literally bring the outdoors in, because the material is made of untreated, 100% natural raw materials such as plants, grasses and hay. During the production process, these raw materials all retain their original look, feel and scent to create a natural surface that includes details such as lavender and rose petals.

This makes Organoids the ultimate new raw material in interior design for lovers of the great outdoors and nature. After all, nature is the environment in which we, people, feel the most comfortable!

The base materials for Organoids include alpine grass, cornflower and rose petals, daisies and assorted colourful flower petals. It has been awarded several prizes for environmentally-friendly interior design.

Barktex is tree bark fleece. It is increasingly being used today, yet it has been around for quite some time. Until the end of the 19th century, tree bark fleece was often used. In fact: it is reputed to be the oldest textile type in the history of mankind.

It was used, for instance, to make the luxurious clothing for the monarchs of one of the oldest dynasties in the world: Buganda, a kingdom with a history that dates back some 1,000 years.

The Barktex tree bark fleece comes from Uganda and is harvested from the ‘Mutuba’, an East African fig tree. The bark of the tree renews itself and can, therefore, be harvested repeatedly without felling the tree. Reuse at its best! The textile and composite materials are extracted from the bark of the mutuba tree with a minimum of CO2 emissions.

The technique behind the Piñatex textiles is new and originates from the Philippines where the leaves from pineapples – usually seen as waste in the pineapple production industry – are collected. In the case of Piñatex, the non-woven textile is made from the fibres of these leaves in Spain.

Piñatex is an excellent alternative for leather and petroleum-based synthetic fabrics. It is a solution that is versatile to use, light-weight and sustainable.

Construction panel with a healthy mission
Less material, less CO2-emissions and less waste

Less material A patented grid system provides a lightweight construction. Depending on the thickness of the Greengridz® 60-90% less raw materials are required than traditional solid furniture panels. Less CO2 The CO2 emissions during production and transport are even 60% lower than, for example, with plywood. Because of the light weight, less fuel is used during transport, while 50% more volume can be transported. Less waste Less material also means less waste. Because the panel consists of various upcycled residual flows of natural cellulose fibers, it is biodegradable. On the waste management standard, the Lansin's R ladderk, the lightweight construction panel scores at the highest level. Refuse, simply because more material is no longer needed to make a strong furniture construction.
But Greengridz® strives for 100% waste-free. That is why we make new ones from old panels. This reuse completes the circle. Circular means no waste!

Healthy Greengridz® is CARB2 certified, which means that it is a safe product for the living environment. This means it meets the highest requirements when it comes to volatile organic compounds (VOC) such as formaldehyde. The construction panel thus makes an important contribution to a healthy working and living environment. Certificates EPD & LCA available
